Optic-Kleer NE Georgia is a growing local auto glass business serving Athens, Watkinsville, Oconee County, and surrounding Northeast Georgia communities.

We provide professional auto glass repair and replacement, ADAS calibration, headlight restoration, and windshield wiper replacement through both our shop and mobile service.

We are looking for a dependable, professional Auto Glass Technician who takes pride in doing quality work, pays attention to detail, and understands that excellent customer service is just as important as technical skill.

Position Overview

The Auto Glass Technician will perform auto glass repairs and replacements on a variety of vehicles in both shop and mobile environments. The position includes windshield replacement as well as door glass, back glass, quarter glass, and specialty glass.

The technician will also be responsible for properly preparing vehicles, protecting vehicle interiors and exteriors, completing required scans and inspections, and ensuring that ADAS-related components and vehicle safety features are properly addressed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional windshield repair and replacement
• Install door glass, back glass, quarter glass, and specialty automotive glass
• Perform both in-shop and mobile auto glass services
• Properly prepare pinchwelds and vehicle surfaces for glass installation
• Inspect vehicles before and after glass installation
• Document existing vehicle damage and installation-related information
• Properly remove and install moldings, trim, mirrors, cameras, sensors, and related components
• Perform pre- and post-repair vehicle scans when required
• Assist with or perform ADAS calibration as required
• Verify operation of cameras, sensors, safety systems, and other vehicle features following installation
• Follow proper glass installation procedures and manufacturer specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Properly maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Communicate professionally with customers and explain work performed
• Complete required paperwork, documentation, and job records
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
• Work effectively as part of a small, customer-focused team

Qualifications

Prior professional auto glass installation experience preferred

• Experience with windshield replacement required for experienced applicants
• Experience with gasket-set glass is a plus
• Experience installing quarter glass, back glass, door glass, and specialty glass preferred
• Familiarity with ADAS, vehicle scanning, and calibration is a strong plus
• Ability to work independently and complete installations correctly and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely lift, carry, position, and maneuver automotive glass
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions
• Dependable and punctual
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety
• Ability to work as part of a team
